DWP £965 Cash Boost: State Pensioners Under 77 Could Be Missing Out This November

State Pensioners who receive the full new State Pension could receive up to £965.20 in a four-week payment this November.

The amount comes from the current 2026/27 full new State Pension rate of £241.30 a week. Because the State Pension is normally paid every four weeks, this works out at £965.20 per payment period.

However, the £965.20 figure is not a separate DWP cash boost. It is the regular four-weekly State Pension payment for someone entitled to the full rate.

Why Under-77s Are Mentioned

People who reached State Pension age under the new State Pension system from April 2016 can receive the new State Pension.

The State Pension age has since increased from 66 towards 67, meaning newer State Pension claimants can currently fall into the under-77 age group.

But age alone does not guarantee £965.20.

Check Your National Insurance Record

The amount you receive depends mainly on your National Insurance record. The full new State Pension normally requires 35 qualifying years if your National Insurance record started after April 2016. Some people may need more than 35 years because of previous contracting-out arrangements.

Anyone with fewer qualifying years could receive less than £241.30 a week.

When Will November Payments Arrive?

State Pension is normally paid every four weeks. Your payment day depends on the final two digits of your National Insurance number.

If your normal payment date falls on a bank holiday, the money may arrive earlier.

Check What You Could Receive

The Government’s State Pension forecast service can show how much State Pension you could receive and whether you may be able to increase it by filling certain National Insurance gaps.

So, the key point is that £965.20 is the maximum four-weekly payment at the current full new State Pension rate, not an additional November bonus. Your actual amount depends on your individual State Pension entitlement.
